Electronic Reserves Client (ERC)

Descriptions:

Automates the process of scanning documents, putting them up on a Web server, and creating the necessary online records for access.

Features of the current version:

Scans a document and creates a PDF file.
Creates a reserve record on the LMS.
FTPs the file to the FCLA server or to your chosen server.

Features to be added in the next release:

Automated logon to your HostExplorer TN3270 session.
Ability to create new or edit existing item records.
FTP of any local file (HTML, PDF, etc.) to the server.

Hardware required for using ERC:

1. PC with 32M RAM
2. PC must have an IP address (Ethernet card, etc.)
3. HP ScanJet 4

Software required for using ERC:

1. WIN95 or NT4.0

2. Imaging for Windows, version 4

This is a basic imaging accessory to Windows95 or NT; an earlier version comes loaded with WIN95/NT on some PCs. Must have version 4. Can order or download from http://www.eastmansoftware.com
