• Break, then working lunch: 12:00 - 12:15

• Overview of the environment in which we are working

• What is available in terms of New Systems

• General discussion of "viable" vendors

• Status of the technology we are seeking (what can be expected in terms of technical capability
• Laws and politics in Florida
• Our options in terms of process to be followed in reaching conclusions



• What resources does the task force need: 1:15 - 1:45
• Literature survey
• Input from member libraries (staff in all functional areas)
• Data from the field - other libraries and library consorti



• Group discussion of process to be followed: 1:45 - 2:15

• Establishing selection criteria
• Gathering information from/about vendors
• Organizing/dividing the work (think of the types of tasks you would like to undertake

• Discussion of a time line to be followed: 2:15 - 2:30

• Establish firm criteria - may require obtaining input from the field (survey of library staff)
• Document state requirements (laws/statutes)
• Identify acceptable vendors - develop a list of those which meet criteria
• Conduct initial assessment of vendors - narrow the list
