Catalyst Installation Instructions

Catalyst requires Windows98 or higher, internet access, and Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher.

Below are instructions for installing Catalyst. We recommend that you print these instructions to use during installation.

Installing and updating Catalyst:

1. Point your web-browser to: www.fcla.edu/secure/downloads/clients. This is a secure area of the FCLA server so you will need to login using your NOTIS ID and password.
2. Choose the Catalyst Directory.
3. Choose CatSetup.exe to download to your temp directory.
4. The current or latest version of Catalyst is 2.2.
5. Run CatSetup.exe to unzip all self-extracting files and install the Catalyst Client.
6. Just follow the prompts for the rest of the installation. Catalyst can now be found on your Start button under Programs.
7. The FCLA BT Courier font comes with Catalyst. To enable it, go into your Windows folder, then the Fonts folder. Open FCLA BT Courier (usually by double-clicking on it). Click Done.
8. Reboot.
9. Once installation is complete, you may delete all the Catalyst files in the temp directory and create a shortcut for your Desktop.
